Mount Vinson

Mount Vinson (4,892m/16,050ft) is the highest mountain in Antartica and is one of the "Seven Summits". It lies in the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains and is one of the most remote mountains on Earth. For half of the year, there is 24 hours of daylight.

The season to climb Mount Vinson is normally from November through January. The route taken is a low technical climb, but is in a potentially extreme environment that offers a real physical and mental challenge.

I have not yet been to Mount Vinson. I am looking forward to going there in the future.
