SEVEN SUMMITS GOLF CHALLENGE for Charity
Welcome to GOLFUPHIGH.com. My name is Daryl Franck. I am originally from Richmond, Virginia (USA). For over twenty years, I have been very fortunate to be a PGA Golf Professional.
Back in 2012, I set a personal challenge to be the first PGA Golf Professional to successfully summit and hit a golf ball (Biodegradable), from the highest seven mountains on all the seven continents. I have since summited Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, Carstensz Pyramid in Austrailia/Oceania and Mount Elbrus in Europe.
On September 26, 2014, after years of battling with multiple health issues, my Mom passed away peacefully in her sleep. She suffered from Diabetes, a Colectomy, a severe Stroke, Cancer and Kidney Disease, which resulted in Dialysis Treatments at least three times a week. Despite all of her illnesses and many months in the hospital, she continued to have a positive outlook on life.
In memory of my Mom and what an inspiration she was to everybody whose lives she touched, I would like to dedicate the next chapters of the “Seven Summits Golf Challenge" to her.
For the related illnesses that my Mom had and the special care she received, I will be climbing for selected charities in the hope that others in the future will not have to suffer as much as she did. Please note that 100% of the donations will go to those charities selected. All future expedition costs will be covered by myself, private donations, and corporate sponsors.
